If you are looking for making a dinner reservation for a group from 10 to 20 people, check our selection of group set menus available for the evening.

• Our Salon de Louis Roederer (private room) is also dedicated for your business convenience and will welcome your group 7/7 days. We have designed a gourmet selection of Private dining set menus for you to choose when making your reservation. The room capacity is for an intimate number of 12 people and the room hire is complimentary from 8 people. The Salon de Louis Roederer is also available for breakfast, high tea and lunch. Please inquire with our friendly team about the menus and prices for hiring the room at these occasions.

• The High tea time is the top of the trend if you have a Hen’s party or baby-shower to celebrate. We can cater groups of 10 to 20 people Wednesday to Sunday, from 2pm to 4.30pm. Check our High tea group menu and ask our friendly team for availabilities.

Whether you are looking for a corporate fine dining experience or a private group celebration, the Hippopotamus team will design something special to make your event memorable.
We do facilitate complimentary valet parking while dining, so drop your car keys to our friendly reception team and enjoy the beautiful surroundings and Wellington harbour.

The Hippopotamus team strongly recommends making your group reservation at least 2 weeks prior the dining date. If you are looking for booking on Friday, Saturday or Sunday, we suggest you organise your event a month in advance to avoid disappointment.

If you are looking at privatising the whole Hippopotamus restaurant, please inquire with our reservations team or download our private function pack online.
Please note that the restaurant can only be privatised Sunday to Thursday, for a minimum of 50 people and a maximum capacity of 80 people.
